The Jett Foundation is extremely grateful to the Boston Bruins for traveling down to the South Shore and the Gentleman's Hockey League (GHL) who helped coordinate this exciting event. In addition to all proceeds of this event going to the Jett Foundation, each player on the GHL are donating $500 to the Jett Foundation as well.
"We are thrilled to support the Jett Foundation in this way" says Dave Chaunt, Captain of the GHL "I have known the McSherry family for many years and know how much the Jett Foundation helps kids like Jett who are diagnosed with this progressive muscle wasting disorder. So much muscle strength is required to play hockey and most of us take that for granted - this is our way of helping kids like Jett McSherry and 20,000 other boys like him, to find a cure for Duchenne".
Proceeds from this event will support children with neuromuscular disorders like Jett McSherry, a Pembroke native whose parents founded the Jett Foundation 10 years ago when Jett was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. During the first intermission, several boys and young men with neuromuscular disorders will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play with some of the greatest hockey players of all time. Although children with Duchenne lack the muscle strength to play most sports, they love the game and are thrilled to share the ice with Hockey legends of the Boston Bruins.

Vacation. You must be 13yo or older to participate, if there is room at the end of registration for 12yo students, they will be accepted into the class at a reduced rate and they will NOT be eligible to umpire until the following season, (2013). They are welcome to take the test but the test will not be submitted to the NUA for scoring. If you miss one, you will miss a rule and it's application, potentially affecting your test score. Students that score a 70% or higher on the final test will be eligible to umpire in the future seasons. Students that score 80% or above will recieve National Umpire Certification which is the Official Certification of Babe Ruth/Cal Ripken Baseball.
